Marielle is a musician, artist, and sustainability activist focusing on using creativity as a tool to connect communities with the Earth and each other. Calling herself “”the farming artist”” instead of a starving one, she believes that if all artists also focused on growing food, supporting regeneration, and focusing on foraging and wildcrafting, we could create a more sustainable future for all. Marielle performs at festivals that align with community connection and sustainability and facilitates song circles and improv jams to provide connective spaces of creativity and community co-creation. She also creates eco-friendly art using upcycled materials and earth paints, as she believes art and music can help people tap into the creativity that can create solutions for the world.
Marielle is studying herbalism and permaculture, providing workshops, plant walks, and apothecary concerts that focus on helping people to “”eat their weedies,”” showing that some of the most beneficial and medicinal plants are growing all around us like weeds! She creates songs and art inspired by these plant allies, to help others learn and grow their connection with the Earth. With these creative offerings and performances, she has the goal to inspire communities to take action with sustainability and regenerative practices and to use herbalism, music, art, and community connection to help heal the planet and each other.
