Margaret

Margaret (E-RYT 500) specializes in subtle, somatic-focused movement, creating classes that invite students into the present moment to assuage chronic pain and stress while building sustainable strength. Teaching since 2018, her work is deeply informed by the realization that brought her to the mat: yoga’s profound ability to heal both body and mind, overcoming debilitating back pain, anxiety, and panic attacks following surgery in 2013. Margaret, who holds a 500-hour certification, brings her experience to diverse communities, including studios, schools, and senior living. When she isn’t studying yoga and its meditative power, she teaches English at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Cuddle Puddle
Want to explore platonic touch with other adults in a safe, fully clothed Playshop? Join us for a heartwarming experience with an opening circle to discuss consent and platonic touch, a grounding guided meditation, facilitated touch activities including handholding, foot rubs, back rubs, 20-second hugs, and a culminating cuddle puddle. You are always encouraged to honor your own boundaries and are welcome to say “no” or change your mind about any touch at any time. No partner required.
Self-sourcing: Your Own Safe Haven
If you seek tools for emotional regulation, deeper self-compassion, or a renewed sense of belonging within yourself, join us in a practice to nourish the person who lives within you —yourself. This Playshop invites you to explore the art of self-sourcing—learning to be your own primary caregiver, validator, and nurturer. Our time together will open with a grounding circle and discussion on what it means to source from self. We’ll then move through a series of practices, including a safe-space guided meditation, havening techniques to regulate and settle the nervous system, mindful movement to cultivate self-compassion in the body, and a long savasana to integrate the experience.
